Dental Implant Partnership / Study Clubs

Our well-attended dental implant partnership is in its third year. We have monthly meetings in which we talk about planning, placing, and caring for implants in an informal lecture and hands-on forum.

This partnership is open to oral healthcare professionals who are already placing implants, those who are thinking about placing them, and those who never want to place them but would like to learn more about treatment planning and restoration of implants.

There are no sponsors and no cost to participants. Snacks are served! Meetings are Tuesday evenings once a month, and you may receive two CE credits per meeting.

Dr. Michael has a very popular Spears Study Club attended by many General Dentists as well as several Dental Specialists of all fields. Cases are discussed and specialists and laboratory professionals are on hand for questions. This is a great way to learn to treat very complicated restorative cases and also learn the core basics.

Dr. Hartigan presents a fun evening with her “GUMS & GRAPES” series for dental hygienists. We talk about how to taste wines, then we taste them! The wine makes the hour lecture on perio much more palatable!

Topics include: “50 Shades of Grey: radiographic interpretation”; “L.A. Confidential: smooth shots” (local anesthetic tips); “Titanium Isn’t Bulletproof: peri-implantitis.”
