Our practice has more than 60 collective years of experience diagnosing oral disease and conditions. The addition of advanced technology such as cone-beam computed tomography makes it very likely we can find an answer to your concerns. We are experienced in hard- and soft-tissue biopsies and work closely with teams of pathologists, internists, and oncologists for the initial diagnosis and for ongoing treatment.

Many debilitating diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and diabetes require close monitoring and special oral care, which is all part of what we do at Fetner & Hartigan.

Of course, the diagnosis and state-of-the-art treatment of periodontal disease is a big part of our practice. The treatment of this very prevalent disease is constantly evolving, and research over the past few decades has linked periodontal diseases to systemic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes. This makes getting excellent and thorough treatment imperative.

You will notice that even your regular “recall” maintenance visits involve a detailed evaluation of all head and neck systems, including screening for cancer, decay, inflammation, trauma from occlusion, and TMJ. Our doctors and hygienists have saved the lives of some of our patients through their diligence and attention to the smallest of details.
